Nel lontano 2011 usciva un criptico gioco di azione in 2.5D intitolato El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, uno dei titoli più sottovalutati dell’era PlayStation 3. A distanza di sette anni Takeyasu Sawaki, la mente dietro quel quasi capolavoro, fa puntare nuovamente i riflettori su di sé con The Lost Child. Si tratta ufficialmente di uno spin-off di El Shaddai, ma concretamente lo stile ha subito notevoli mutamenti.
