Durante la Reboot Develop 2017, il noto creatore della serie di Assassin’s Creed, Patrice Desilets, ha mostrato a tutti un breve teaser trailer di Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey annunciato lo scorso 2015. Inoltre è stato anche dichiarato che il titolo, presenterà delle componenti survival con un attenta gestione delle risorse, ed il tutto si svolgerà durante l’era preistorica in Africa.
