Nel 2014 arrivava in Europa su PlayStation 3 l'irriverente Earth Defense Force 2025, action in terza persona sviluppato da Sandlot. A distanza di 3 anni, è giunto il momento di riscoprire questo particolarissimo titolo su PlayStation 4 con una versione aggiornata e arricchita del gioco, la 4.1: Shadow of New Despair. Per chi non avesse mai sentito parlare di Earth Defense Force, ci troviamo davanti ad una serie molto particolare che nonostante comparti tecnici quasi sempre al di sotto della media, ha saputo conquistare tantissimi giocatori grazie al frenetico gameplay e al concept a dir poco fuori dalle righe.
