Il mondo dei free-to-play è sempre in continua espansione e nonostante molti giocatori boicottino spesso questa tipologia di giochi è innegabile il loro successo. Molti videogiocatori associano fin troppo spesso il free-to-play al pay-to-win, e fino a qualche anno fa quest’associazione era più che lecita; oggi invece il media si è evoluto e il titolo gratuito può essere goduto appieno senza mai dover mettere mano al portafogli, e questo lo abbiamo visto su titoli di grande successo come Warframe, Paladins o War Thunder.
