Quando si parla di NIS America un nome che risuona subito alla mente dei giocatori è Touhou Project. Nonostante la saga Touhou non sia particolarmente conosciuta o apprezzata al di fuori del Giappone, NIS America non smette di provarci e ripropone ancora una volta anche agli occidentali un titolo della serie. Come molti sapranno, i Touhou hanno spesso cambiato genere di gioco in gioco, tuttavia Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle riprende con mano il tipo di gameplay che più ha fatto apprezzare la saga, il bullet hell, modificandone qualche aspetto.
