Dopo il successo che ha ottenuto con la PSP, Sony ha annunciato la Playstation 3 Essentials, ossia una serie di giochi che si potranno trovare in vendita, sia in negozio che sul PSN, ad un prezzo ridotto, che dovrebbe aggirarsi intorno ai 19,99 euro in versione retail e ai 14,99 qualora il titolo fosse scaricabile dal PlayStation Store.
