Bethesda ha affermato che Fallout 76 non diventerà un titolo free-to-play.
A seguito di un lancio che ha deluso le aspettative degli utenti, a causa di numerosissimi bug, e della software house stessa, per le vendite tutt’altro che entusiasmanti, negli ultimi giorni in rete era emersa la possibilità che Fallout 76 potesse diventare un free-to-play. Ad alimentare queste voci ci aveva pensato la nota catena di negozi EB Games Australia che, a quanto pare, stava eliminando dai suoi listini la versione standard del videogioco sviluppato da Bethesda.
La community, inferocita, ha subito iniziato a contattare la software house per chiedere un eventuale rimborso. La risposta a questi rumor, però, non si è fatta attendere troppo e con un post su Twitter l’azienda di proprietà di ZeniMax Media ha affermato che “non c’è alcuna verità in queste voci”. Bethesda non sembra quindi intenzionata a trasformare Fallout 76 in un gioco gratuito per spingere l’utenza a popolarlo. Anche EB Games Australia ha voluto chiudere la questione postando un comunicato su Twitter: “Queste informazioni non sono corrette. EB Games continuerà a supportare Fallout 76 e rimarrà un prodotto acquistabile sia nei nostri store che sul nostro sito web”.

This information is categorically incorrect. EB Games will continue to support Fallout 76 both brand new and preowned, and it remains an active product through both our stores and website. Customers can now pick up the EB Exclusive Tricentennial Edition for $79.95.
