Atelier, per chi non la conoscesse, è una serie JRPG tra le più popolari in Oriente e tra quelle che vanta il maggior numero di capitoli pubblicati nell’ultimo decennio. Durante la generazione passata, si sono affermate per l’appunto tre saghe di JRPG in particolare: Tales Of, Neptunia e, per l’appunto, Atelier.
E’ di dovere precisare che Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey è il secondo capitolo di quella che sarà una trilogia, la prima, e probabilmente ultima, su nuova generazione e Vita (nonostante il primo capitolo della trilogia sia uscito per PlayStation 3 e 4, ma non per Vita).
Nonostante ciò, non è strettamente necessario aver giocato il capitolo precedente per comprendere Atelier Firis, per quanto un reduce da Atelier Sophie potrà godere maggiormente di qualche citazione o qualche personaggio/mostro apparso nel capitolo sopracitato (o nei capitoli appartenenti ad altre trilogie di Atelier).
