Romance of the Three Kingdoms è una popolarissima serie di giochi simulativi e strategici sviluppata da Koei, dalla quale sono nati poi spin-off del calibro di Dynasty Warriors (ben più noto in terre occidentali). In occasione del rilascio del trentesimo anniversario della saga e considerato l'enorme successo riscosso in Giappone, Koei Tecmo ha deciso di rilasciare il gioco anche in occidente. Il nostro mercato però è piuttosto diverso da quello orientale e di solito non riesce a "digerire" giochi ripetitivi o con poca azione: riuscirà Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII a farci cambiare idea?
