Platform. Un genere cardine del mercato videoludico già a partire dagli anni Ottanta, che lo hanno visto macinare numeri da capogiro con titoli dall’enorme successo quali Donkey Kong, seguito poi da una delle più famose icone moderne del medium: Super Mario. A oggi, gli esempi di ottimi videogiochi appartenenti a questo filone si sprecano e quello che un tempo era considerabile una categoria esclusivamente dominata (o quasi) da Nintendo, risulta ora essere un territorio ricco di giochi imperdibili e nomi altisonanti: Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, Rayman e moltissimi altri. Insomma, con un background del genere dal quale attingere, è naturale aspettarsi un buon livello di partenza da chiunque decida di cimentarsi in questo specifico genere. E lasciate che ve lo dica: Shiny, in questo, delude sotto quasi ogni punto di vista.
